Associated University Presses
Associated University Presses was founded in 1966 by publisher Thomas Yoseloff as a co-venture for small-to medium-sized academic publishers. It eventually included Bucknell University Press, University of Delaware Press, Fairleigh Dickinson University Press, Lehigh University Press, and Susquehanna University Press. AUP also acted as a distributor of publications from a number of other institutes and organizations including the Folger Shakespeare Library, the Balch Institute for Ethnic Studies, and John Cabot University.
Over the next 55 years, AUP published nearly 5,000 titles under the imprints of the constituent presses, representing a cross-section of academic and scholarly fields. AUP discontinued all new publishing in 2023. It continues to hold rights to most of the titles it published. More than 3,000 of these titles are currently available in electronic editions on various platforms. In addition, AUP is actively involved in marketing and licensing subsidiary rights, including reprint and dramatic rights.
