PROTESTANT EPISCOPAL CHURCH.

The constitution of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America was adopted in 1788, and the first General Assembly met in 1789. The General Assembly embraces the 51 synods and 358 presbyteries of the Church, which has a total membership of 1,341,492; total contributions last year for missionary and educational work and congregational expenses, $21,230,429.
