I have obtained all the information and explanations that I have required, and I certify, as the result of my audit, that in my opinion the above Account is correct, subject to the observations in my Report. ACCOUNT of the Sum Expended, in the Year ended 31 March 1923, compared with the Sum Granted, for the payment of GRANTS TO REFUGEES FROM IRELAND for the Relief of Distress. Sums amounting to 3721. 9s. 3d. were received from refugees and credited to the Exchequer during the course of the year on account of repayment of loans, and a sum of 11,5871. 9s. 10d. has since been received from the Government of the Irish Free State, and similarly credited, in part refund of relief grants made in 1922-23.
