It is proposed in the first instance to issue vouchers entitling Members to receive, free of charge, first class (non-sleeper) railway or steamer tickets when required, whether Parliament is in session or not. The estimated annual cost is £70,000. The question whether the issue of vouchers for actual journeys is more economical than the issue of season tickets will be reviewed, in the light of experience, at the end of the present Session.
