NUMBERS ON THE REGIMENTAL ESTABLISHMENTS OF THE REGULAR ARMY, ARMY RESERVE, SUPPLEMENTARY RESERVE, TERRITORIAL ARMY, &c. EXPLANATIONS. REGIMENTAL ESTABLISHMENTS. For analysis of Regimental Establishments see pp. 14-23. Further details of Unit Establishments in the Cavalry, Artillery, Infantry, Tank Corps and R.A.S.C. are given in Appendix I., pp. 231-238. The Establishments of the other Arms are still provisional. The numbers shown under Regimental Establishments for Medical, Ordnance, and other departmental Corps, include the officers etc., of those Corps employed on the Staff of Commands, but not those employed in Schools of Instruction and at the War Office. (The latter are included under Miscellaneous Establishments and War Office below.) Cavalry. Two Line Regiments withdrawn from India have been added to the British Establishment. Engineers. Certain administrative and other personnel not employed with units (419 in all) have been transferred from "Regimental" to the School of Military Engineering and other "Miscellaneous" Establishments. (See page 11.) Ordnance.-Tailors and shoemakers, previously included in the establishments of the arm with which they serve, are now, with a few exceptions, transferred to the R.A.O.C. (Total 172). The Total Regimental Establishments, which include Colonial and Native Indian Troops (see p. 10) as well as British, are as follows: Territorial Army.-The Establishment of the Air Defence Brigades is being increased in 1924-25 and a third Brigade raised. The total includes 30 Instructors for units of the Supplementary Reserve. (See page 42). Channel Islands and Colonial Militia, &c.-Permanent Staff is provided for the recently formed King's Own Malta Regiment, which replaces the old Malta Militia Infantry. STAFF.
