This Act shall not apply to the bonâ fide pursuit for the purpose of recapturing it of any animal which has escaped from confinement, or to the destruction of 5 rats and mice under the provisions of the Rats and Mice (Destruction) Act, 1919. 5.-(1) This Act may be cited as the Protection of Animals Act, 1926. (2) The enactments set out in the Schedule to this 10 Act are hereby repealed to the extent mentioned in the third column of that Schedule.
