to be forthwith paid; and if afterwards by 2 evidences he can make it out that upon the sabbath he travelled purposely as he pretends to look after Mr Lane, who that day as the said Mossier pretended was in danger of being drowned, then the said Mossier is to have his 10s returned to him again. At a Court holden at Casco, 29 July 1666, "the Jury of Life and Death" which tried James Robinson, of Black Point, for murdering Christopher Collins, of the same place, and found him not guilty, consisted of eighteen members. The following were from North Yarmouth :-James Lane; John Mayne; Thomas Stevens; Richard Bray; Richard Potts (Harpswell); George Felt." (62. ZI F) W. M. S. COOMBS-Henry Coombs went from North Yarmouth to York, and died there in 1725, aged 80 years. He had land granted to him at North Yarmouth, 15 Nov. 1685; laid out, 2 June 1686, by Walter Gendall, John Royall, John York and Amos Stevens, Trustees and Selectmen; 10 acres bounded by Capt. Anthony Brackett and Thomas Bailey; 10 acres of land and 4 acres of marsh, in breadth 30 rods, in length 58 rods, and to run on the line to the water side, N. & by W., and up into the woods, S. & E. Coombs and John] Provender to lay out a highway between their lots. Four acres of marsh on the western side of the East River, being the eighth lot from the mouth of the river upward; iu length, 34 rods; in breadth, 19 rods. (") DAVIS-The will of Silvanus Davis, of Nantasket (or Hull), dated 8 Apr. 1703, probated 7 May 1703, mentions a widow but no children. Among other bequests, he gives and bequeaths "unto the the three daughters of the said James English (late of Boston, deceased), all my part of lands lying in Casco Bay, which was held between us in equal shares, to say, Col. John Phillips, Mr. John Endicott, the sd James English & myself." The said three daughters to pay £3 each as an annuity to his widow. (62. GIF) W. M. S. KIMBALL-Thomas Kimball [see p. 445] deposes at Portsmouth, 28 June 1678, that he was living at Dover in 1657, and was personally acquainted with certain facts occurring there for near ten years before 1657.
