PRATT.] To the Honorable Senate and the Honorable House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in General Court assembled: The Petition and representation of the subscribers, inhabitants of the Town of North Yarmouth and soldiers in the several military companies in said town, humbly shews, that your petitioners. deeply impressed with military ardor, and anxiously desirous of appearing in the most respectable manner as soldiers, and firmly believing that it will conduce much to the interest and welfare of the Militia in this town, request your Honors to pass a Resolve authorizing the Governor of this Commonwealth to cause that a company of Light Infantry, to be called "The NORTH YARMOUTH LIGHT INFANTRY," be raised from the several companies in this town, provided that no one company shall be thereby reduced below the number requisite for military companies.
