Gen. Register, Vol. 34, p. 101, R. W. Kenyon, gives: Standish, Ring, Johnson, Seabury. He gives descent as follows: "Myles. son of Capt. Myles, had a daughter Mary [see p. 913, O. T.] who married Johnson. Their daughter, born about 1720, married Judah Chandler. The last four generations were of Yarmouth,

Maine."

The History of Beverly, Mass., has a genealogy of the Gage Family.

The Wetmore Genealogy says Zeruiah Standish married, 1745, Johnson, of Halifax, (undoubtedly an error.)

ATWELL. (Continued from p. 985) John Atwell lived on the creek which took his name, on the west side of Royall's River. He married [Margaret?, see p. 985], a daughter of John and Elizabeth Maine, about 1670, and had a son John living at Lynn

in 1730. John Cousins testified in 1682 that Atwell purchased about 60 acres of Richard Bray, on the west side of Royall's River, "twelve years since" [1670], and Henry Donnell and Richard Carter, Jr., concurred. (York Deeds, IV, 37.) Apr. 3, 1685, John Holman testified that John York had "fenced in some of sd John Atwell's land that he bought of the sd Richard Bray," and William Larrabee, Jr., swore to the same May 16 following. FELT.-1 George Felt, Charlestown. 1633, North Yarmouth, 1640, b. 1600, d. at Malden in 1693 (another authority says in 1688.) In 1640 he lived in a stone garrison at Broad Cove, No. Yarmouth. on land bought of John Phillips, a Welshman, who had probably lived on it before (p. 672), and which in 1643 he

(G. F.) repurchased of Sir Ferdinando Gorges. May 18, 1727, [his heirs, probably], drew Lot 56 (p. 629.) He married,2 Elizabeth Wilkinson, dau. of Widow Prudence Wilkinsou. Children:

FELT.

3 Elizabeth; bap Jan. 26, 1640 at 1st Ch., Charlestown; m. 1655, William Larrabee, of North Yarmouth (p. 443.)

4 George; bap. as above; m. Hannah [or Jane?] Andrews; killed by Indians, Sept. 23, 1676, on Mountjoy Island; he bought land of William Hinds, near Tobacco Point, and lived there till driven off by Indians in 1688; also owned land from his father: had sons George, Samuel and Jonathan, who moved to Salem about 1690; his son George (3d) had son John bap. at 1st Ch. in Rowley (now Salem) May 14, 1699, and Samuel had son Joseph bap. at same place July 21, 1701 (see pp. 221, 443, 672, 673, 693, 694, 855.)

5 Mary; bap. as above; m. 1660 James Nichols (p. 443.)

6 Moses; b. Dec. 20, 1641 (p. 443); (also given as b. 16.50); living at Chelsea 1733 (p. 672); May 18, 1727, drew Lot 57 (p. 629, 673, 693, 694; p. 48, 1st Ch. Cat.); lived at Broad Cove from 1684 to 1688 (p. 673); he and George Felt, blockmaker, of Salem, grandson of George (1), deed Lot 57 to the Committee of the Town, 1728 (p. 673); he lived in Rumney Marsh in 1733, and deposed that he lived in North Yarmouth from 73 years before the first Indian war (pp. 220, 221, also see pp. 854, 825); had sons Aaron and Joshua; d. at Lynn about 1734, probably 93 years old.

7 Aaron; history unknown; mentioned as having purchased land at Broad Cove (p. 220); there are doubts if this was a soa of George (1), perhaps is the son of Moses (6.)

Joseph Felt, a settler in 1723, lived convenient to go to Wm. Scales' garrison (p. 47, 1st Ch. Cat.) He was killed by Indians about 1725, and his wife and children carried into captivity. His daughter Sarah (p. 686) married Peter Weare, father of Joseph the scout (p. 479.) His wife was Sarahı (67, 1st Ch.. Feb. 26, 1738 (p. 492), who died Jan. 3, 1768. By her petition of Aug. 27, 1727 (p. 435), it appears that her husband was killed about 1722, instead of 1725. Aug. 7, 1733, she, with Peter Weare and wife Sarah (only daughter and heir of Joseph Felt). deed all interest in Lot 49 to the Town Committee (p. 686.) It appears that Joseph Felt took this lot by squatter right, and had built a house on it, and there he was killed (pp. 734, 735, also see p. 998.)

John Felt, a settler in 1723, lived convenient to go to Samuel Bucknam's garrison (1st Ch. Cat., p. 47.)
