Another New Clause ("Policy-holder may in certain cases nominate the person to whom claim shall be paid ") brought up, and read the first time as follows:

(1) Every holder of an industrial assurance policy other than (a) a policy taken out in the name of a child or (b) a policy assuring a payment of money for the funeral expenses of a parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, brother, or sister, not being under the age of sixteen years, may, by writing under his hand delivered at or sent to the registered office of the Society or company, or made in a book kept at that office, nominate a person to whom any sum of money payable by the society or company on the death of the life assured, not exceeding one hundred pounds, shall be paid at his decease.

(2) The person so nominated must not be an officer or servant of the society or company unless that officer or servant is the husband, wife, father, mother, child, brother, sister, nephew, or niece of the nominator,

(3) A nomination so made may be revoked and varied by any similar document under the hand of the nominator delivered, sent, or made as aforesaid.

(4) The marriage of a policy-holder shall operate as a revocation of any nomination theretofore made by him under this section "-(Mr. Albert Alexander).

Another New Clause ("Disclosure of remuneration to directors, &c.") brought up, and read the first time as follows:

"The published accounts required by this Act shall disclose by means of a note or otherwise the sum or sums in aggregate receivable by the board of directors and managing director (s) by way of fee, salary, commission, allowance or other forms of remuneration in connection with the conduct of the business of a society or company to which the provisions of this Act apply, so far as such fee, salary, commission, allowance, or

other forms of remuneration are in addition to any sum or sums receivable by way of pension in respect of past services rendered by the recipients as officers or servants of the society or company "-(Mr. Arthur Michael Samuel).
