3 1 "Court for the Shreveport Division shall be held at 2 Shreveport. 3 "(4) The Monroe Division comprises the parishes of 4 Caldwell, Concordia, East Carroll, Franklin, Jackson, Lin5 coln, Madison, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland, Tensas, 6 Union, and West Carroll. 7 8 "Court for the Monroe Division shall be held at Monroe. "(5) The Lake Charles Division comprises the parishes 9 of Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Jefferson Davis, 10 and Vernon. 11 "Court for the Lake Charles Division shall be held at 12 Lake Charles. 13 "(6) The Lafayette Division comprises the parishes of 14 Acadia, Iberia, Lafayette, Saint Martin, Saint Mary, and 15 Vermilion. 16 "Court for the Lafayette Division shall be held at 17 Lafayette." 18 SEC. 2. The district judge for the Eastern District 19 of Louisiana holding office on the day immediately prior 20 to the effective date of this Act, and whose official station 21 on such date is Baton Rouge, shall on and after such date, 22 be the district judge for the Middle District of Louisiana. 23 All other district judges for the Eastern District of Louisiana 24 holding office on the day immediately prior to the effective 4 1 date of this Act shall be district judges for the Eastern Dis 2 trict of Louisiana as constituted by this Act. 3 SEC. 3. (a) Nothing in this Act shall in any manner 4 affect the tenure of office of the United States attorney and 5 the United States marshal for the Eastern District of Loui6 siana who are in office on the effective date of this Act, and 7 who shall be during the remainder of their present terms of 8 office the United States attorney and marshal for the Eastern 9 District of Louisiana as constituted by this Act. 10 (b) The President shall appoint, by and with the advice 11 and consent of the Senate, a United States attorney and mar12 shal for the Middle District of Louisiana. 13 SEC. 4. The table contained in section 133 of title 28 14 of the United States Code is amended to read as follows with 15 respect to the State of Louisiana : "Districts "Louisiana: Judges 16 "Eastern "Middle "Western 7 1 3".
