B E it enacted by the King's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the 5 same, as follows: A.D. 1926. ments. 1. (1) Where it appears to any local authority Power to that the presence of moveable dwellings or the occupation prohibit thereof upon any specified place or places within the encamparea of the local authority would be dangerous to the 10 health, either of the inhabitants of such dwellings or of the public, the local authority may prohibit any moveable dwelling from being on or limit the number of such dwellings to be at any one time on such specified place or places. 15 (2) When it appears to any local authority that the presence of moveable dwellings or the occupation thereof upon any specified place or places within such area would constitute an annoyance to or unreasonably interfere with the amenities of the neighbourhood, the 20 local authority may by order to be approved by the Minister of Health prohibit any moveable dwelling from being on or limit the number of such dwellings to be at any one time on such specified place or places: Provided that in any such order the local authority shall 25 have due regard to the interests of travelling showmen, proprietors of roundabouts and stallholders (not being pedlars or hawkers) so as to secure that they shall not A.D. 1926. be hampered in the exercise of the legitimate business of their calling.
