(a) Provision is also made in the Estimate for Osborne (Class I., Vote 2) for expenditure in connection with the treatment of invalid Officers of the Navy in the Convalescent Home at Osborne, and in the Vote for Public Buildings, Great Britain (Class I., Vote 10), for Annuities in repayment of sums advanced for sites and buildings under various Acts.

(b) The sum of 8,500l. is provided under this Vote for Law Agents in Scotland for sundry Government Departments including the Admiralty.

WAR CHARGES.

The total amount provided in the Estimates for War Charges is about 200,000l., including some part of the cost of temporary personnel and sundry other small charges which cannot be precisely estimated and have not, therefore, been indicated under the Subheads of the Votes concerned.

A note has been made under the relative Subheads of the following Votes of the total of the War Charges included therein so far as they can be identified :
