The following message was received from the Senate: MR SPEAKER:-I am directed to inform your Honorable Body that the Senate has passed a joint resolution asking for additional mail facilities from Winterset, in Madison county, to St. Joseph, Missouri, which resolution is transmitted herewith, and in which the concurrence of the House is asked.

Also, the Senate has concurred in the House resolutions for the appointment of committees to visit the following named State Institutions:

The Hospital for the Insane; the State University, and Deaf and Dumb Asylum, at Iowa City; the Blind Asylum; the Penitentiary.
