I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury to transmit herewith (a) A Statement of Receipts and Payments in respect of the Supreme Court Prize, etc., Deposit Account to 31st March, 1926; (b) An Abstract Account of Receipts and Payments in Prize of the Admiralty Division of the Supreme Court of Judicature. My Lords request that these Accounts may be examined in the manner indicated in Treasury Letter 26288/15 of the 21st January, SIR, 58 27. I am directed by the Comptroller and Auditor General to state, in reply to Sir G. L. Barstow's letter S. 29790 of 21st July last, transmitting for examination the Supreme Court Prize, etc., Accounts to 31st March, 1926, that the examination has been duly carried out by this Department, as in previous years, in the manner indicated in Treasury Letter 26288/15 of 21st January, 1916, i.e., it has covered the receipts and payments of the Accounting Officer but not the Registrar's cumulative classified abstract of those transactions. The results of this examination are satisfactory, and the Comptroller and Auditor General has duly certified the Accounting Officer's Deposit Account. B I am directed to transmit, herewith, for the information of Their Lordships, a copy of this certified account, and to return the Registrar's classified abstract forwarded with the letter under reply.
