FELICITOUS INTRODUCTIONS BY LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR DRAPER AND PRESIDENT WELLS A NOTABLE GATHERING, GREAT ENTHUSIASM, AND A FINE DINNER. The Eighteenth Annual Dinner of the Home Market Club was held at the Hotel Vendome, Boston, on Tuesday evening, November 20. There was a notable gathering of representatives of many of the leading industries of New England, and it was one of the most satisfactory dinners ever given by the club. The number of guests was 334, including the twelve at the speakers' table and several representatives of the press. The dinner was preceded by a reception in one of the large parlors, at which the diners were presented to the distinguished guests by the following reception committee: Charles H. Child, Providence (Chairman); Leonard B. Nichols, Brookline; Francis H. Manning, Boston; W. H. Pridee, Hingham; H. Carleton Slack, Vermont; John H. MacAlman, Boston; Calvin D. Paige, Southbridge; James R. Bailey, Jr., Lawrence; William H. Dwelly, Boston; T. S. Laughlin, Maine; Charles Alexander, Rhode Island; J. O. Sweet, Connecticut; C. H. Fish, New Hampshire; Benjamin F. Smith, Jr., Andover. A most enjoyable musical program was provided during the reception and dinner by the Carl Behr Orchestra and Quartette Club. THE DINNER. The feast, which was spread in the large banquet hall was in all respects a fine one and the service was excellent. There were tasteful floral decorations on the tables; and a fine portrait of President Roosevelt surrounded by flags was in evidence at the head of the hall. Rev.
