Mr. Quigley resigned his seat on the 17th of January, 1838, for cause arising out of McGregor's case wherein he felt his dignity as a member overlooked and unsupported by the House. $Mr. McGregor was elected in place of H. T. Camp, deceased. Was charged with having accepted a bribe at this session, and resigned his seat while the investigation was pending; but by a resolution of the House, at its June session, he was declared "unworthy of confidence" by a vote of the House. |
