He is counsel for the Trust Company of Georgia, the Continental Trust Company, the Postal Telegraph Company, Armour and Company, and many other corporations. In 1902-07 he was commissioner of roads and revenue for his county; and in 190712 was a member of the Georgia National Guard, attaining the rank of Brigadier-General. He was formerly chairman of the National Child Labor Committee of Georgia; and president of the Juvenile Protective Association. In 1910 he married Miss Mary Alice Van der Grifft; and they have one son, and reside in Atlanta, Ga.

Anderson, Dice Robins, Educator, of Lynchburg, Va., was born on April 18, 1880, in Charlottesville, Va. He was educated at the Hoge Academy, Rndolph Macon College, and the University of Chicago. Andrew, A. Piatt, Statesman, of Gloucester, Mass., was born on Feb. 12, 1873, in La Porte, Ind. In 1893 he graduated with the degree of LL.B. from Princeton University; and subsequently received the degrees of A.M. and Ph.B. from the Harvard University. In 1909 he was appointed Director of the Mint; and in 1910-12 was assistant secretary of the treasury. He is a past president of the Northwest Science Association, and was professor of physics and electrical engineer at the University of New Mexico.
