(3) The seal of the Board shall be authenticated in manner directed by the Board, and any document purporting to be sealed with the seal so authenticated shall be receivable as evidence of the particulars stated in that document. 6.--(1) For the purposes of this Act, there shall be a registrar, who shall perform such duties in connection with the register as the Board may direct. (2) The registrar shall be appointed by the Board. 5 (3) The person first appointed to the office of 10 registrar shall hold office until the expiration of the term of office of the first members of the Board, and any person subsequently appointed to the office of registrar shall hold office for such period as may be fixed by the Board. (4) The Board may appoint a person to act as assistant-registrar, and may employ such other officers as the Board consider necessary. 15 (5) There shall be paid to the registrar, assistantregistrar and officers of the Board such salaries or 20 remuneration as the Board may from time to time determine. 7. (1) A register shall be kept by the registrar, in accordance with the regulations made under this Act, to be styled the register of optical practitioners," 25 which shall contain a list of the names of all persons registered under this Act, in alphabetical order in each class according to the surnames, and shall state the full names and addresses of the registered persons, and, subject to the provisions of this Act, and any regulations 30 made thereunder, shall contain such particulars and be in such form as the Board may from time to time direct. (2) There shall also be entered in the register the address or addresses at which any registered person is carrying on the practice or business of a registered 35 optical practitioner. 8. (1) The Board shall upon registration, and certificates. thereafter annually upon payment of the prescribed fee, issue to every person registered as an optical practitioner and applying for the same, a certificate.
