A statement of the total staff employed on 1 February, 1925, as compared with the previous year, is shewn in Appendix B page 89. The rate of Bonus applicable to salaries, &c., is shown on page 5. Remuneration not carrying Bonus is shown as inclusive. Extra remuneration in the form of Extra Duty pay, Sunday pay, or Bank Holiday pay, is made to Post Office servants at hourly rates authorised by the Treasury for the various classes of officers, and a number of officers thus receive more than £50 a year each in extra remuneration. Others receive Free Medical Attendance and Uniform. (a) One receives a superannuation allowance of 1901. per annum, provided for in the Navy Estimates. (c) One receives allowance of 1201. per annum provided in the War Office Estimates whilst employed in connection with Royal Engineers (Postal Service) at General Post Office.
