NUMBERS of OFFICERS, SEAMEN, Boys, and ROYAL MARINES, Borne on the Books of His Majesty's Ships, at the ROYAL MARINE DIVISIONS, and at Royal Air Force Establishments.

NOTE.-Royal Air Force personnel employed as part of the Fleet Air Arm are

included in Air Vote A.

This Vote fixes the total number of Naval and Marine Officers and Men and Royal Marine Police to be borne during the year, excluding Officers and Men lent for service under Dominion and Foreign Governments, Officers in receipt of pay from Non-Effective Votes only, and Officers paid out of Shore Establishment (e.g., Dockyard) Votes, but not borne on Ship's books. It is exclusive also of all Civilians employed

on Fleet Services.

The numbers to be voted represent a maximum which may not be

exceeded.
