(b) The rates for 1914-15 were doubled for the last four months of the Income Tax year. (c) The rates of Income Tax for 1915-16 were increased by 40 per cent. for the second half of the Income Tax year and the scale of Super Tax extended to 3s. 6d. (d) Relief for earned income is given for the year 1920-21 and subsequent years by deducting one-tenth (with maximum deduction of £20) from the total income to be taxed. (e) Prior to the year 1920-21 this item was designated “Receipts from Sundry Loans, &c." and included both Interest and Principal Repayments.
