To the Honorable Board of Control of the Agricultural Experiment Station, Nevada State University,

GENTLEMEN: I have the honor to submit herewith the annual report of the Experiment Station of the Nevada State University for the year ended December 31, 1895.

This report includes the several reports of the several departments of the Station and the financial exhibit of the Secretary and the Treas

urer.

The scientific work of the Station has been broadened and strengthened by the addition of the Department of Bacteriology and Pathology under the care of Dr. Walter McN. Miller, formerly a well known member of the Station Staff, but more recently giving all his time to the Department of Physiology and Geology in the Agricultural and Mechanical College. Under the present arrangement Dr. Miller gives one third of his time to the Station. I regard this as a very valuable addition to the equipment of the Station.

The State of Nevada has not yet made adequate provision for the needs of the Station in the way of land. The twenty-nine and fourtenths acres loaned to the University by the kindness of the Commis
