its Home at Dalston became appropriated exclusively for the reception of female inmates. For some time past the income of the Charity has been insufficient for its support. In these circumstances application was made to us on behalf of both Charities for the establishment of a Scheme. It was proposed that by the Scheme the two Charities should be amalgamated so as to form one Charity, and directions for the future application or management of the amalgamated Charity, for objects similar to the existing objects of the Elizabeth Fry Refuge, should be given. The Home at Dalston of the Refuge for the Destitute has been sold under the provisions of the Act regulating the Charity. As it appeared to us that the proposals made on behalf of the Charities were reasonable and proper, but could not be carried into effect otherwise than by the authority of Parliament, we have approved and certified the Scheme set out in Appendix D. No objection to the Scheme has been made. (8) Proceedings under the Endowed Schools Acts, 1869, 1873, and 1874.
