McMichael, George Hervey, physician and author of 75 West Tupper St., Buffalo, N.Y., was born Jan. 26, 1856, in Waterford, Ont., Can. He graduated in medicine from the University of Niagara at Buffalo, and has received the degrees of M.D., D.D.S. and L.D.S. In 1904-05 he was a member of the Civil Service Commission for the City of Buffalo. He is the author of "Alcoholism as a Disease," "Humane Control for Alcoholics," and other works.

In 1910 he was official delegate of the United States government and of the railroad refrigerator service association to the second international congress of refrigeration held in Vienna. Since 1912 he has been manager of the perishable freight service of the Illinois Central Railroad at Chicago.
