On motion of Mr. Gifford, seconded by Mr. Holmes, the resolution was adopted. NOTICE OF BILLS. Mr. Gifford gave notice that he would introduce a bill to provide for the appointment of a State Mineralogist for the State of Nevada, defining his duties, fixing his salary, and providing suitable offices therefor. Mr. Smyth gave notice that he would introduce a bill to provide for the purchase of grounds at Carson City, and for the erection thereon of a Governor's mansion, to be used as the home of the State Executive. On motion of Mr. Bradley, seconded by Mr. Tighe, Senate Bill No. 2 was made a special order for Thursday at 11:30 a. m. The Speaker granted Mr. Bradley temporary leave of absence. By Mr. Sadler: Resolved, That as far as practicable and possible all bills and resolutions presented to the Assembly be written or typed in duplicate in order that the business of the Assembly shall be expedited. On motion of Mr. Folsom, duly seconded, the resolution was adopted. By Mr. Vaughan: Resolved, That Mr. V. B. Cross is hereby appointed janitor of Assembly Committee rooms for the Twenty-third Session of the Legislature of the State of Nevada at a salary of $4 per diem. On motion of Mr. Williams, duly seconded, the resolution was adopted. Mr. Fesler gave notice that he would at some future time introduce a bill to provide for the incorporation of cities and towns of the State by direct action of the qualified voters thereof.
