I want to thank everyone that contributed to this effort from the bottom of my heart. I have just discovered my heritage that until now I was completely oblivious to for the first 58 years of my life. I am in complete awe as I read through these pages as they fill my heart with joy and pride and honor to be a descendant of this family and all of the events and circumstances that resulted in my birth in on March 29, 1961 with the name of Rudi Steven Pendleton, son of Sylbert Byrne Pendleton who died on Oct. 6,1993. It was while searching online for the record of his grave that subsequently led me to the existence of this great book of the history of my family. I am forever grateful and will proudly pass this on to my son Tyler Steven Pendleton and my brothers Timothy Michael and Mark Daniel. I want to express my gratitude to the universe for directing me to this great book which has enabled me to see into the lives of my ancestors and the events of their lives and how they lived. It has flooded my soul with a fresh supply of gratitude which in turn makes me even more grateful like a perpetual motion that continually generates more than it disintegrates. A priceless side effect. I have a lot left to read and I plan on reading every page with a sense of gratitude to the chain of events and the dedication and hard work of the people that made this possible, especially Everett Hall Pendleton the author. Sincerely, Rudi Pendleton
