Barnum, Charlotte Cynthia, educator, mathematician and author of Washington, D. C., was born May 17, 1860, in Phillipston, Mass. In 1881-96 she taught in the public schools, at Smith college and in Carleton college. Since 1901 she has been computer for the coast and geodetic survey.

Barnum, William H., lawyer and jurist of 39 South LaSalle st., Chicago, Ill., was born Feb. 15, 1840. in Onondaga county, N.Y. He has been judge of the circuit court of Cook county.

Barnum, William Milo, banker of 62 Cedar st., New York City, was born Jan. 25, 1856, in Lime Bock, Conn. He is a member of the firm of Harvey Fiske and Sons.

Barnwell, Henry Stephen, clergyman of Thomasville, Ga., was born Aug. 1, 1881, in Charleston, S. C. He was educated at Talladega college; and in 1904 was ordained to the Congregational ministry. He has filled pastorates in various cities; in 1904-06 was pastor of Talladega college; in 1906-11 was pastor of Woodbury church of Lake Charles, La.; and since 1911 has been pastor of Bethany church of Thomasville.
