In 1885 he established the Lake laboratory in Milwaukee, Wis., which in 1893 was transferred to Menton, France, where it is known as the Allis research laboratory. In 1910 the Olberg postoffice was moved to the new railway site and its name changed to Clearbrook, of which he is still postmaster. He was one of the organizers of the Clearbrook Lumber company, of which he is a director.

Anderson, Albert Barnes, lawyer and jurist of Indianapolis, Ind., was born Feb. 10, 1857, near Zionsville, Ind. In 1886-90 he was prosecuting attorney of Montgomery county. Since 1902 he has been judge of the United States district court for the district of Indiana.

Anderson, Alexander Pierce, botanist and inventor of Chicago, Ill.,was born on Nov. 22, 1862. in Red Wing, Minn. He is the inventor of new processes of treating cereal grains and starch materials; and has taken out several patents.
