Burkett, Elmer Jacob,educator, lawyer and statesman of Lincoln, Neb., was born Dec. 1, 1867, in Mills county, Neb. He has been principal of schools in Leigh, Neb. In 189698 he was a member of the Nebraska state legislature; and he has been a member of United States senate.
