IN pursuance of Section 20 of the Metalliferous Mines Regulation Act, 1872, I have the honour to report that during the year 1906 I exercised the duties of Inspector of Mines and Quarries in the Stafford district, and that in so doing I acted as Assistant to, and under the direction of, Mr. W. N. Atkinson up to 21st July last, and since that date, of Mr. Hugh Johnstone, the Inspector in charge of the district.
