NOTE. The expenditure out of this Grant in Aid will be audited by the Auditor of the Civil List, and any unexpended balance of the sums issued from the grant will be surrendered to the Exchequer. Certain expenses in connection with the Voyage will be defrayed from Navy Votes.

The sum of £3,500 has been advanced from the Civil Contingencies Fund, and a corresponding amount of this Vote is required to enable repayment to be made to that Fund.
