A difference arose with the Contractor which delayed the final
, Total Estimate the result being a saving on the current year. The total cost of ; Expenditure to 31st March 1906 the work proved lower than the forecast.
It was expected that substantial progress would have been made
before the close of the previous year, but work could not be begun as early as had been hoped for, with the result that practically the whole cost falls upon 1905--6.
