Outstanding 24. The questions on the Accounts of Uganda, East Africa, Somaliland, and Northern
Questions.

Nigeria for 1901-2, 1902-3, and 1903–4, referred to in previous Reports as outstanding,
have since been satisfactorily settled, with the exception of certain points of minor im-
portance on the account of Northern Nigeria for 1903-4, in regard to which the
Accounting Officer has agreed to certain adjustments, which should be included in the
Accounts for 1906-7.

The majority of the outstanding questions on the Accounts for 1904–5 have also been
settled, but certain points in connection with the Accounts for 1905-6 are still outstand-
ing. The questions on the Accounts of Wei-Hai-Wei for 1904–5, to which I referred in
Paragraph 21 of my Report of last year as outstanding, have resulted in the alteration
of the figures shown in the Account for that year, thereto appended, the necessary cor-
rections aifecting the Total Revenue of the Territory, which should have been shown as
$90,355.79, and the balance of Assets over Liabilities, which should have been shown as
$81,562.27, showing variations of $59.27 and $2,667.97 respectively.
