4. The amount, 335l. 12s. 5d., shown on both sides of the Account “ Commissioners of CommissionWorks Investment Account” represents the dividends received and re-invested in the ers of Works purchase of Stock, in accordance with the Battersea Park Amendment and Extension Investment

Account. Act 1851 (14 and 15 Vict. c. 77, Sec. 16), which provided for the creation of a “Fund for Improvements in the Metropolis.” On the ist April 1905 the Fund consisted of 13,9931. -8. 10d. Consols, and by the addition of 3731. 158.-d. Consols purchased during the year, the total amount of Stock held in respect of this Fund on 31st March 1906 was raised to 14,3661. 158. 10d.
