The Inspection Staff inspects in detail both the Naval and Army Warlike Stores, as well as those supplied to the Colonies and India. The total value of the Stores to be inspected is approximately 3,600,0001. Towards the expense of the inspection, which including 99,0001, for Stores used in proof and inspection) amounts to about 243,0001., a sum of 106,000!, is taken as an Appropriation in Aid on account of Stores inspected for the Navy.
