AN ESTIMATE of the Sum which will be required in the Year ending 31st March 1908 to defray the Expense of ARMAMENTS and ENGINEER STORES, including Technical Committees.

One Million Six Hundred and Seventy-one Thousand Pounds.

(b) The amount provided in the Navy Estimates for pay (Vote 12) and travelling expenses (Vote 11) of naval members is 4,3751. The travelling expenses and lodging allowances of military members provided in Vote 6 are estimated at 50:31., and the allowances (Vot 7) and clothing (Vote 8) oi 1 Officer and 9 Military Clerks at 1881. The total charge for the Committee on Army and Navy Votes is, therefore, 15,1561.

(c) Extra pay to a Staff Captain in the War Office. The duting are now performed withont extra pay.
