(a) There are also 9 Gymnastic Instructors at the Royal Military Academy and Royal Military College, Duke of York's and Royal Hibernian Military Schools, who are provided for in Vote 11, and 2 at the Cavalry School, provided for in Subhead K of Vote 1.

(b) These rates are personal to present holders. The rate in future is to be 38.7d.

P.-PAY, &c. OF CHAPLAINS' DEPARTMENT AND OFFICIATING
CLERGYMEN:

Note.--In addition to the foregoing Charges for Divine Service, similar expenditure is provided for in Vote 11 for the Royal Military Academy (3017.), Royal Military College (3637.), Staff College (401.), Duke of York's Military School, (4311.), and Royal Hibernian Military School (4051.); in Vote 13 for the Chaplain-General (1,000l.); and in Vote 15 for the Royal Hospitals at Chelsea (6887.) and Kilmainham (2117.). Total amount so provided, 3,4391.

(a) The Total Emoluments of Chaplains serving at Home are shown in Appendix, No. 18, page 230.

(b) Promotion of Commissioned Chaplains from one class to another is by length of service. This causes the number in each class to vary from year to year.

(c) Includes 2467. for pay, &c., of a Chaplain at the Royal Military Academy, now provided in Vote 11, Subhead A.
