The subcommittee met at 10 o'clock a. m., Hon. Charles A. Christopherson (chairman) presiding.

Mr. CHRISTOPHERSON. The committee will come to order. Subcommittee No. 2 are in session to-day to take up H. R. 5624, introduced by Mrs. Langley from the tenth Kentucky district.

A BILL To amend section 83 of the Judicial Code, as amended

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That section 83 of the Judicial Code, as amended, is amended to read as follows:

"SEC. 83. (a) The State of Kentucky is divided into three districts, to be known as the eastern, southern, and western districts of Kentucky.

"(b) The castern district shall include the territory embraced on the 1st day of May, 1926, in the counties of Anderson, Bath, Boone, Bourbon, Boyd, Boyle,
