Seventeen hundred and one, and upon recommendation of the Secretary of Finance and Justice, the offices of provincial fiscal of the Provinces of Batangas and Mindoro are hereby declared to be consolidated and one fiscal shall perform the duties of the offices above consolidated at a salary of four thousand five hun dred pesos per annum, three thousand six hundred pesos of which shall be paid from the treasury of the Province of Batangas and nine hundred pesos from the treasury of the Province of Mindoro. The fiscal of the two provinces shall reside at Batangas, capital of the Province of Batangas.

Such traveling expenses of the fiscal in the Province of Batangas as are authorized by law shall be paid from the treasury of the Province of Batangas and like traveling expenses in the Province of Mindoro shall be paid from the treasury of that province. The necessary expenses in traveling from the capital of one province to that of the other in the performance of his duties as fiscal shall be borne, four-fifths by the Province of Batangas and one-fifth by the Province of Mindoro. The expenses of such clerical assistants, if any, as shall be authorized for the fiscal shall be paid, four-fifths by the Province of Batangas and one-fifth by the Province of Mindoro. This order to be effective as of October first, nineteen hundred and seven.

El fiscal de las dos provincias residirá en Batangas, capital de la Provincia de Batangas.

Los gastos de viaje que la ley autoriza para el fiscal en la Provincia de Batangas, serán pagados por la tesorería, de la Provincia de Batangas del mismo modo que los gastos de viaje, en la Provincia de Mindoro, serán pagados por la tesorería de dicha provincia. Cuatro quintas partes de los gastos de viaje necesarios desde la capital de una provincia á la de la otra en el cumplimiento de sus deberes como fiscal serán pagadas por la Provincia de Batangas y una quinta parte por la Provincia de Mindoro. Cuatro quintas partes de los gastos que se autoricen para el fiscal para el pago de empleados auxiliares, si los hay, serán pagadas por la Provincia de Batangas y una quinta parte por la Provincia de Mindoro. The necessary expenses in traveling from the capital of one province to that of the other in the performance of his duties as fiscal shall be borne, two-thirds by the Province of Cagayan and onethird by the Province of Isabela.
