Pursuant to the provisions of Act Numbered Six hundred and "Beginning at a point 'A,' which is the intersection of the SW. JAMES F. SMITH, Governor-General. De conformidad con las disposiciones de la Ley Número Seiscientos cuarenta y ocho, de la Comisión de Filipinas, titulada "Ley autorizando al Gobernador General para reservar para el uso público civil, y exceptuar de venta ó cesión cualquier parte de la propiedad pública que no esté destinada por la ley para un uso público especial, hasta que de otro modo lo disponga la ley, y extendiendo las disposiciones de la Ley Número Seiscientos veintisiete, de modo que todos los terrenos públicos que el Gobierno Insular desee reservar y todos los terrenos de particulares que desee comprar con destino al servicio público, queden sujetos á las disposiciones de la Ley del Registro de la Propiedad," por la presente reservo con destino a escuela municipal y retiro de venta ó cesión la parcela del dominio público que á continuación se describe situada en el barrio de Paitan, municipio de Cuyapo, Provincia de Nueva Ecija, á saber: "Partiendo de un punto "A" que es la unión de la orilla So. del río Mayamot y el lado NE. de la carretera á Cuyapo, desde allí al S. 78° 20' E. 210.10 metros, hasta el punto "1" del terreno, en cuyo punto empieza la medición, desde allí al S. 36° 10' 0. 30 metros hasta el punto "2," desde allí al N. 35° 50′ O. 36 metros hasta el punto "3," desde allí al S. 56 80′ E. 30 metros hasta el punto "4," desde allí al S. 36° 0' O. 36 metros hasta el punto "1." It is ordered that the files of the Official Gazette, a copy of the Municipal and Provincial Code, and a copy of all ordinances and resolutions of the municipal council of the municipality together with the executive orders of the municipal president be kept in a suitable place in the office of the municipal secretary of each municipality for the use of the general public, and that the public be given free access thereto during the office hours of the municipality. It is also directed that a copy of this order be kept posted in a conspicuous place in every municipal building. JAMES F. SMITH, Governor-General. GOBIERNO DE LAS ISLAS FILIPINAS, ORDEN EJECUTIVA } MANILA, 27 de Julio de 1907. Se ordena que las colecciones ordenadas de la Gaceta Oficial, un ejemplar del Código Municipal y Provincial, y un ejemplar de todas las ordenanzas y resoluciones del concejo municipal del municipio, juntos con las órdenes ejecutivas del presidente municipal, se conserven en un lugar adecuado en la oficina del secretario municipal de cada municipio, para el uso del público en general y que se conceda al público libre acceso al mismo durante las horas de oficina del municipio. THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS, MANILA, August 7, 1907. EXECUTIVE Order No. 25. Executive Order Numbered Nine, series of nineteen hundred and seven, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Pursuant to the provisions of section one of Act Numbered Thirteen hundred and ninety-three, entitled 'An Act providing for the widening of the streets and the adjustment of ownership of land located within certain specified limits, in the municipality of Cebu, Province of Cebu,' as amended by section one of Act Numbered Sixteen hundred and fourteen, the consent of the Philippine Commission having been obtained, I hereby appoint Sergio Osmeña, chairman, and the Director of Public Works, the district engineer of Cebu, the president of the municipality of Cebu, and the treasurer of the municipality of Cebu members of a committee to continue the work of the committee appointed by resolution of the Commission of March twenty-first, nineteen hundred and five, to provide plans for the widening of such streets as may be desirable and proper and to lay out new streets within the socalled 'burnt area' in the municipality of Cebu, Province of Cebu, to adjust all questions of ownership of all land within the said burnt area, and to make such equitable allotment and adjustment of the land within said burnt area as may be necessary and practicable caused by the widening of existing streets and in the laying out of new streets." Por la presente se reforma la Orden Ejecutiva Número Nueve de la serie de mil novecientos siete, de suerte que se lea come sigue: "De conformidad con las disposiciones del artículo primero de la Ley Número Mil trescientos noventa y tres, titulada "Ley autorizando el ensanche de las calles y la adjudicación de la propiedad raíz dentro de ciertos límites especificados en el municipio de Cebú, Provincia de Cebú," según fué reformado por el artículo primero de la Ley Número Mil seiscientos catorce, y habiendo obtenido el consentimiento de la Comisión de Filipinas, por la presente nombro un comité compuesto de D. Sergio Osmeña, como presidente, y del Director de Obras Públicas, del ingeniero del distrito de Cebú, del presidente del municipio de Cebú, y del tesorero del mismo municipio, para que continúe la obra del comité nombrado por resolución de la Comisión de fecha veintiuno de Marzo de mil novecientos cinco, para que disponga los planos para el ensanche de aquellas calles que se consideren convenientes, para trazar nuevas calles dentro de la llamada 'zona incendiada' en el municipio de Cebú, Provincia de Cebú, para resolver todas las cuestiones respecto á la propiedad de todos los terrenos dentro de la citada zona incendiada, y para hacer un reparto y adjudicación equitativos del terreno dentro de la citada zona según sea necesario y practicable, con arreglo al ensanche de las calles existentes y el trazado de nuevas calles." EXECUTIVE ORDER The attention of the undersigned has been called to the fact that certain employees of the Philippine Civil Service have been engaging in private business and lending money at exorbitant rates of interest in violation of paragraphs 5 and 6, Civil Service Rule 12, which read as follows: "5. No officer or employee shall engage in any private business, vocation, or profession, or profession, or be connected with any commercial undertaking, without written permission from the head of the Bureau or Office in which he is serving, and of the GovernorGeneral or proper head of a Department. As a general rule, in any enterprise which involves the taking of time, this prohibition will be absolute in the case of those officers and employees whose remuneration is fixed on the assumption that their entire time is at the disposal of the Government; if granted permission to engage in a business requiring time of applicant, copies must be furnished the Bureau.
