Executive Order Numbered Fifty-nine, current series, is hereby amended to read as follows:

“J. W. Beardsley, Director of Public Works; J. E. Ainsworth, civil engineer; Walter C. Reibling, chemist, Bureau of Science; and W. H. Warner, clerk, Bureau of Supply, are hereby appointed a committee to make test of the cement purchased by the Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific Company for the construction of sewers for the city of Manila, and now stored in that company's warehouse.

"The committee will meet at such times and places as may be expedient. A full report of the findings shall be rendered to the Governor-General at the earliest practicable date."

Por la presente se reforma la Orden Ejecutiva Número Cincuenta y nueve de la serie corriente, de modo que se lea como sigue:

"Por la presente se nombra un comité compuesto de los Sres. J. W. Beardsley, Director de Obras Públicas; J. E. Ainsworth, Ingeniero Civil; Walter C. Reibling, Químico de la Oficina de Ciencias; y W. H. Warner, Empleado de la Oficina de Abastecimientos, para que haga una prueba del cemento comprado por la ‘Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific Company' para la construcción del alcantarillado de la ciudad de Manila, almacenado actualmente en el depósito de dicha compañía.

"El comité se reunirá en las fechas y lugares que sean convenientes, y emitirá un informe completo del resultado de dicha prueba al Gobernador General tan pronto como sea factible."

EXECUTIVE Order

No. 61.

Pursuant to the provisions of section four of Act Numbered Seventeen hundred and one, and upon recommendation of the Secretary of Finance and Justice, the position of provincial fiscal of the Province of Palawan is hereby declared vacated, and it is directed that the duties imposed by law upon the provincial fiscal of said province shall be performed by an assistant attorney of the Bureau of Justice to be designated by the Attorney-General. Said province shali reimburse the Bureau of Justice for the necessary traveling expenses, the salary of such assistant attorney, and other expenses necessarily incident to the services rendered in such amount as shall be fixed by the Attorney-General with the approval of the Secretary of Finance and Justice, not exceeding seventy-five per centum of two thousand pesos, in which amount is fixed the salary of the fiscal of said province. This order to be effective as of October first, nineteen hundred and seven. JAMES F. SMITH, Governor-General.

MANILA, 18 de Diciembre de 1907.

De conformidad con las disposiciones del artículo cuatro de la Ley No. 1701 y mediante recomendación del Secretario de Hacienda y Justicia, por la presente se declara vacante el cargo de fiscal provincial de la Provincia de Palawan, y se ordena que los deberes que la ley impone al fiscal provincial de dicha provincia, se desempeñen por un fiscal auxiliar de la Oficina de Justicia que será designado por el Fiscal General. Dicha provincia reembolsará á la Oficina de Justicia, los gastos de viaje necesarios, el sueldo de dicho fiscal auxiliar y los demás gastos necesariamente incidentales á los servicios prestados, por la cantidad que fije el

Fiscal General con la aprobación del Secretario de Hacienda y Justicia, no excediendo del setenta y cinco por ciento de dos mil pesos, cuya cantidad es el sueldo fijado al fiscal de la citada provincia. Esta orden será efectiva como del primero de Octubre de 1907.

Honorable James Ross having been appointed judge of the Court of First Instance for the Twelfth Judicial District, he is hereby relieved from duties on the committee on pardons appointed by Executive Order Numbered Twenty-four, series of nineteen hundred and six, and Mr. Reuben D. Blanchard, assistant attorney, Bureau of Justice, is hereby appointed a member of the said committee on pardons, to fill the vacancy thus created.

Habiéndose nombrado al Honorable James Ross, Juez del Juzgado de Primera Instancia del Duodécimo Distrito Judicial, por la presente queda relevado de prestar servicios en la comisión de indultos nombrada por virtud de la Orden Ejecutiva Número Veinticuatro de la serie de mil novecientos seis, y se nombra como miembro de dicha comisión de indultos á Mr. Reuben D. Blanchard, Fiscal Auxiliar de la Oficina de Justicia, para cubrir la vacante creada de este modo.

Pursuant to the provisions of Act Numbered Six hundred and forty-eight, Philippine Commission, entitled "An Act authorizing the Governor-General to reserve for civil public purposes, and from sale or settlement, any part of the public domain not appropriated by law for special public purposes, until otherwise directed by law, and extending the provisions of Act Numbered Six hundred and twenty-seven so that public lands desired to be reserved by the Insular Government for public uses, or private lands desired to be purchased by the Insular Government for such uses, may be brought under the operation of the Land Registration Act," I hereby reserve for provincial school purposes and withdraw from sale or settlement the following-described parcel of public domain in the barrio of Cervantes, township of Cervantes, Province of Lepanto-Bontoc, to wit:

Beginning at point marked "1" on plan, being a stone marked "X," from which a stone monument marked "B. L." bears N. 53° 3′ E. 43.85 m.; thence S. 61° 12′ W. 36.80 m. to a black rock marked "X" at. point "2;" N. 69° 42′ W. 325.20 m. to a stone marked "B. L." at point "3;" N. 14° 57′ W. 324.50 m. to a stake at point "4;" N. 46° 21′ E. 51,30 m. to a stake at point "5;” S. 33° 35′ E. 179.0 m. to a stake at point "6;" N. 56° 40′ E. 150.30 m. to a stake at point "7;" N. 56° 56' E. 238.20 m. to a stake at point "8;" S. 32° 49′ E. 266.60 m. following the left bank of the Abra River to a tree blazed "X" at point "9;" S. 36° 8′ W. 384.60 m. to point of beginning.

Containing 197,568 square meters.

De acuerdo con las disposiciones de la Ley Número Seiscientos cuarenta y ocho de la Comisión de Filipinas, titulada "Ley autorizando al Gobernador Civil para reservar para el uso público civil, y exceptuar de venta y cesión, cualquier parte de la propiedad pública que no esté destinada por la ley para un uso público especial, hasta que de otro modo lo disponga la ley, y extendiendo las disposiciones de la Ley Número Seiscientos veintisiete, de modo que todos los terrenos públicos que el Gobierno Insular desee reservar y todos los terrenos de particulares que desee comprar con destino al servicio público, queden sujetos á las disposiciones de la Ley del Registro de la Propiedad," por la presente reservo para fines escolares provinciales y exceptúo de venta ó colonización la parcela de dominio público á continuación descrita, situada en el barrio de Cervantes, township de Cervantes, Provincia de Lepanto-Bontoc, á saber:

Partiendo de un punto marcado "1" en el plano, que es una piedra marcada "X" de la cual un monumento de piedra marcado "B. L." conduce al N. 53° 3′ E. 43.85 m.; desde, aquí S. 61° 12′ O. 36.80 m. á una roca negra marcada "X" en el punto "2"; N. 69° 42′ O. 325.20 m. á una piedra marcada "B.
