(NOTE The act creating the State Board of Agriculture, passed in 1846, provided for fifty-three members and named them. The act was amended in 1847, reducing the rumber of members to ten. Five members were elected each year or a term of two years until 1898, when the act was so amended as to provide for the election of two members each year for a term of five years.) |
