ON THE QUADRANGLE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA The porticoed library of this venerable institution of learning at Charlottesville, Virginia, is flanked by the colonnaded residences of its faculty. MONTICELLO, THE HOME OF THOMAS JEFFERSON It is interesting to note the striking similarity in the architecture of the residence of the founder of Virginia's university, and of its library (see above).
